Djinnex Desk · Independent analysis

Analysis for every open. No broker behind it.

You go into every open with the context prepared, and you make the call, with your usual broker.

  • 3 sessions

Asia, London and New York. Two publications in each: before the open and the second look.

  • 14 assets

Indices, metals, energy, crypto and currencies, each with what the analysis expects and why.

  • 0 brokers

We don’t work with any futures or CFD broker. No agreements, no commissions and no affiliate links: we’ll never ask you to open an account with any of them.

The problem

When you’re starting out, there’s too much information and too little judgement.

You open the chart and everything looks important: news, indicators, opinions and prices moving every second. On a professional trading desk, someone does that filtering before the bell. They sum up what has happened in Asia and Europe, what data comes out today and when to be careful, which key zones are decisive and when it’s better to do nothing.

If you trade on your own, you have to do it yourself, in a rush, just before the open. Or you don’t do it at all. And what you learn one day is forgotten the next, because nothing gets written down.

Djinnex Desk does that filtering for you every session day: it gives you the context, the key zones, the scenarios and what it expects for each asset. It’s our own analysis system, and it works like the analyst-strategist on a trading desk, the one who prepares the session before the market opens. You read it, understand the reasoning, check it against your chart and decide.

With Djinnex Desk, it’s written down. Every session since you signed up stays in your dashboard: its publications and the changes to the thermometer. What the analysis said today is still there tomorrow.

New York session · Dow Jones, Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, gold, silver, WTI, Bitcoin and USD/CAD

In the afternoon

  1. Before the open · The pre-open report. The full preparation work, published in your dashboard before New York opens. This is where each asset’s thermometer is set: what the analysis expects for the session.
  2. Second look. Once the session is under way, a fresh reading in light of what the market has already done: which scenario is in charge and what lies ahead. It’s the only moment when the thermometer can be revised, for the rest of the session.

Each publication includes, for each asset, the 5-minute candlestick chart for that session, showing what the price has done, where it is now, the key zones with their prices and the scenarios: an indicative sketch so you can see at a glance where the analysis is looking, not an order.

Bitcoin, outside the session too. It trades every day and around the clock, including at night and at weekends. Djinnex Desk publishes on session days: whatever Bitcoin does outside the sessions is covered in the context of the next publication. There are no publications at weekends.

Publications depend on market data, providers and systems that can fail, so one day a publication may arrive late or not at all. We work to prevent that and to get every report out on time, but we don’t promise 100% availability. If it happens, we’ll let you know in your dashboard.

What the analysis looks at

Every New York pre-open report starts with the context.

  • News

What happened overnight in Asia and Europe, and the headlines that matter today.

  • Macro schedule

The US data due today (jobs, inflation, activity and consumer spending) and when it comes out: before the open or during the session.

  • The Federal Reserve

Whether there’s a rate decision or an appearance by one of its members today, and whether its latest messages bring rate cuts closer or push them further away.

  • Bond yields and the dollar

How bond yields and the dollar are moving, and what that means for the indices, gold and silver, WTI crude, Bitcoin and USD/CAD.

  • The price itself

The overnight session, the key zones and what the market did on other occasions in situations like today’s.

All of that, summed up in what the analysis expects for each asset, and why.

What the pre-open report includes

Reading a full desk analysis just before the bell helps no one. That’s why the report comes in two layers: at the top, what you need for the open, in a few lines; below, one click away, the full analysis with its reasoning. Nothing is left out: everything has its place.

The essentials, at a glance

  • The day’s context: the overnight session in Asia and Europe, the headlines that matter, what’s driving the market, and the schedule with its high-risk hours.
  • For each asset: the thermometer (what the analysis expects for the session and with what confidence), one line on why, what the analysis is watching (what would strengthen the idea, the next reference level and what would cancel it) and three key zones, each with its price band and explained in plain words, with its chart.
  • The scenarios for each asset: the main one, the alternative and, when its conditions are met, the trap (sweep and return).
  • The session guide and the day’s “watch out for…” notes.

The detail, one click away

  • The full key zones and scenarios, with the session statistics: what the market did on other occasions in situations like today’s.
  • The reading of the 1-minute candles.
  • The day’s risks.

The thermometer, the zones and the scenarios

What the analysis expects, and why.

Before the open, each asset has its thermometer: it tells you, at a glance, what the Djinnex Desk analysis expects for the session and with what confidence.

StatusWhat it means
BullishA bullish session is expected as long as the price holds above its key zone.
SidewaysNo clear direction is expected: the main scenario is a range between two key zones. Sideways days call for patience, and knowing that before the open is information too.
BearishA bearish session is expected as long as the price stays below its key zone.
  1. Before the openSet
  2. Second lookCan be revised
  3. The rest of the sessionDoesn’t change
  • With its confidence: high, medium or low. It tells you how much the reasons in favour weigh against the day’s risks. It isn’t a probability or a hit rate: low confidence calls for more patience and closer attention to what would cancel the idea.
  • Always with its condition, its reasoning and what would cancel it. No expectation comes on its own: the condition that supports it (“as long as it holds above zone A”), a sentence explaining why it’s expected and another saying what would cancel it.
  • It’s only revised at the second look. Djinnex Desk sets it in the pre-open report and, at the second look, once the session is under way, revises it for the rest of the session if it sees fit, for example after a surprising data release, a key zone being lost or a trap being confirmed. Every revision is recorded with the reason for it. After that it doesn’t change, so that the noise doesn’t knock you off your plan. It isn’t a real-time alert: what would cancel it is written down so you can watch for it on your chart.
  • What it isn’t. It’s an expectation from the analysis. It isn’t a certainty, a buy or sell order, or a personalised recommendation. How much to risk and where to place your stop is up to you.
  • The key zones.

Each asset comes with its key zones, each with its letter and price band (“Zone A · 48,685–48,696”), explained in plain words and drawn on its chart. They’re zones, not exact prices: the price can react anywhere within the zone, and a few points either way don’t change the reading.

  • The scenarios.

The main one, the alternative and, when its conditions are met, the trap (sweep and return). Each scenario comes with its condition, what would strengthen it and what would cancel it. They say what could happen and why, not what to do.

  • What the analysis is watching.

Three boxes: what would strengthen the idea, the next reference level and what would cancel it, each with its key zone, referred to by its letter. It’s written down so you can watch for it on your chart.

The day’s context · What’s moving the market today

The session and the headlines
Asia, mixed; Europe, higher. A geopolitical news story, still without an official response, is pushing WTI crude lower. US indices are rising before the open, led by tech on favourable news. The dollar is easing and gold is up. Government , however, are still rising: the market doesn’t fully trust the calm.
What’s driving the market: interest rates
US bond yields are at multi-year highs. In this , strong data is read as bad for the indices, because it pushes rate cuts further away: good news for the economy can be bad news for the stock market. For now, the Federal Reserve isn’t changing the script. The market is coming off weeks of ranges and sweeps, with no trend days.
Schedule and
  • Before the open Orders data, mixed. The market has already reacted.
  • High-risk hour: Just before the A Federal Reserve member speaks.
  • High-risk hour: The first half hour When the day’s high or low is most often set.
  • High-risk hour: Half an hour after the open Today’s most important release: the consumer confidence survey and inflation expectations.
  • High-risk hour: In the afternoon Another Federal Reserve member.

Dow Jones · Before the open

In one sentence Today, with medium confidence, the Dow Jones is expected to fall as long as it stays below zone A (48,685–48,696). If it breaks through and above it, this idea is cancelled.

Why
it has been falling for several sessions in a row, and in the latest ones it has often set the day’s high right at the open. If it opens where it’s trading now, it will do so with a up, below zone A and with bond yields at highs. Gaps like this tend to close. is medium: the overnight session was bullish.

What the analysis is watching

Reaching zone A and turning lower (even if it briefly goes above it and quickly drops back below), or losing zone B and holding below it. In between, patience.
Zone C, where the gap would close.
Breaking zone A and holding above it.

It’s an expectation from the analysis. It isn’t a certainty, a buy or sell order, or a personalised recommendation.

Three , with their prices and in plain words

  • Zone A · 48,685–48,696 The overnight high: a zone that has capped the price many times. Just above it there are .
  • Zone B · 48,530–48,540 The deciding zone below: if the price loses it and holds below it, the fall gathers strength.
  • Zone C · 48,435–48,473 The previous session’s close: that’s where the gap would close.

5-minute candlestick chart of the Dow Jones before the open. From top to bottom, key zones D, A, B and C. Before the open, the price finds support at zone B, rises to zone A and stays below it, between zones B and A. If it doesn’t break zone A, a fall towards zone C is expected. If it breaks it and holds above it, a rise towards zone D.

5-minute candles from the reference market. Your platform’s prices will most likely be a few points off (sometimes quite a lot more). Some candles or wicks may not match exactly. Go by the key zones, not the exact figure.

Scenarios
  • · decline

As long as it stays below zone A, a fall is expected. If it reaches zone A and shows rejection, or if it loses zone B and holds below it, the fall gathers strength, with zone C as the next reference level. Between zones B and A, patience.

  • · breakout

If it breaks zone A and holds above it, the expected fall is cancelled: a rise towards zone D is expected.

  • If it briefly goes above zone A, triggers the stops just above and quickly drops back below, it was a sweep: the focus shifts to zone B and then to C.

Watch out for…

  • jumping on the first break of zone A at the open: it’s often a .

Learn as you trade

Every session teaches you to read the market.

Reading the analysis before the open and checking it against your chart trains your eye. On every session day, Djinnex Desk gives you:

  • the reasoning behind every key zone, scenario and thermometer expectation;
  • the second look: which scenario now prevails, given what the market has already done;
  • every session since you signed up, in your dashboard, with its publications and the changes to the thermometer;
  • a glossary in plain language.

How you learn with Djinnex Desk

What makes it different

Built with method and with memory.

  • Key zones, with a method.

They come from our own method. Each one has its letter and its price band (“Zone A · 48,685–48,696”). They’re the same for everyone, and you can see them drawn on the chart in each publication, at those same prices. They’re zones, not exact prices: the price can react anywhere within the zone, and a few points either way don’t change the reading.

  • Session statistics.

What the market has done in the past in situations like today’s, told in plain words and without percentages. Context backed by data, not hunches.

  • Market memory.

Every session is recorded and feeds into the ones that follow. For example, to spot when good news for the economy is being read as bad news for the indices.

  • An expectation with a history.

Each asset’s thermometer comes with its confidence, its condition, its reasoning and what would cancel it, and every revision is recorded with the reason for it.

  • Specialised.

Each session covers only its own markets: four in Asia, seven in London and eight in New York. That’s why every report can go into detail.

Who it’s for

Whether you’re starting out or already experienced.

For retail traders with a few months or a few years of experience who trade indices, currencies, gold, silver, oil (WTI or Brent) or Bitcoin, with CFDs or futures, and want to go into the open knowing what to look at and why. And for experienced traders who want to go into each session with a desk’s groundwork already done, and check their own reading against it.

Djinnex Desk is designed for intraday trading and medium-duration scalping within the Asia, London and New York sessions: trades that last from minutes to hours and are closed the same day. It isn’t for swing trading (positions held for several days) or high-frequency scalping (trades lasting seconds).

How it fits

Everything on the web. Your broker, the same as ever.

  • Everything on the web. You log in to your private area from the browser on your computer, tablet or phone. Nothing to install, nothing to set up and no files to download.
  • Subscribers only. The reports are published in the private area. Only subscribers can see them, including during their trial.
  • Your broker and your platform stay yours. Use your usual broker: we aren’t paid anything by any broker, or for sending you to one. Djinnex Desk doesn’t connect to your account or trade for you. You read the analysis, check it against your chart and decide.

Limits

What it doesn’t do, said plainly.

  • It doesn’t give orders, stops or position sizes: those decisions are yours.
  • It doesn’t trade or connect to your account: your money stays with your broker.
  • We don’t work with any futures or CFD broker. No agreements, no commissions and no affiliate links: we’ll never ask you to open an account with any of them.
  • It isn’t a signals service: the thermometer shows what the analysis expects, with its conditions and its reasoning.
  • It doesn’t promise results. The analysis can be wrong; that’s why every expectation comes with what would cancel it.
  • It isn’t personalised investment advice: it analyses the market, not your situation.

Frequently asked questions

What you’ll want to know before you start.

I’ve only been trading for a few months. Will I understand it?

That’s what it’s designed for. The essentials come in a few lines of clear language, every point comes with its reasoning and trading terms are explained in the glossary. And in Learn, free of charge, you’ll find out how to read a report, step by step.

I trade CFDs or futures. Will it work for me?

Yes, it works with both CFDs and futures. The prices in the analysis are those of a quote we use as the reference for each asset (what this website calls the “reference market”): they aren’t the prices on the exchange or on the futures market. At your broker, each asset usually has a short name: the Nikkei 225 is JP225 or JPN225; the DAX, GER40 or DE40; the FTSE 100, UK100; the Dow Jones, US30; the Nasdaq 100, US100 or NAS100; the S&P 500, US500 or SPX500; gold, XAUUSD; silver, XAGUSD; Brent, UKOIL or XBRUSD; WTI, USOIL or XTIUSD; Bitcoin, BTCUSD; and currency pairs go without the slash (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD). Your broker’s price will most likely be somewhat different, sometimes by quite a lot: go by the key zones and where the price is relative to them, not by the exact figure.

I use MetaTrader or another platform. Will it work for me?

Yes. You read Djinnex Desk in your browser, and it doesn’t depend on your platform.

My broker already gives me free analysis. What does Djinnex Desk add?

Djinnex Desk focuses on the Asia, London and New York sessions, each with its own markets, and covers them at both stages (before the open and the second look). Every expectation comes with its condition, its reasoning and what would cancel it, and the key zones come from our own method. What matters, organised and explained so that you learn with every session.

Do you work with any broker?

We don’t work with any futures or CFD broker. No agreements, no commissions and no affiliate links: we’ll never ask you to open an account with any of them. You use the broker you already have and, if you don’t have one yet, you choose it yourself.

No brokers, no affiliates

How is it different from a signals channel?

A signal tells you what to do. Djinnex Desk explains what’s happening and why, and the decision is yours.

Analysis, not signals

If the thermometer says “Bullish”, do I have to buy?

The decision is yours. “Bullish” means the analysis expects a bullish session as long as the condition behind it holds, which is why it always comes with what would cancel it. It’s an expectation, not a certainty: whether you trade, when, and with what stop is up to you, by your own rules.

When do I need to be online?

It depends on which session you trade. For New York, the pre-open report is in your dashboard before the open, which falls in the afternoon in Spain; the second look arrives once the session is under way. The London session falls in the morning in Spain, and the Asia session in the early hours; for both, there’s also the pre-open report before the open and, later, the second look. The time of each publication is given in Madrid time.

Bitcoin trades around the clock. What happens outside the sessions?

Djinnex Desk publishes on session days. Whatever Bitcoin does outside the sessions, overnight or at the weekend, is covered in the context of the next publication. There are no publications at the weekend.

Will it alert me if the thermometer changes?

It can only be revised in the second look, and you see that revision in your dashboard with the reason for it. It isn’t a real-time alert: in between, keep an eye on your chart, because every expectation spells out what would cancel it.

What if one day I can’t read it in time?

Every session since you signed up stays in your dashboard: its publications and the changes to the thermometer. Read it when you can, for as long as you have your subscription.

What if I don’t trade one day?

If it wasn’t the day for it, it’s a good day. Knowing when not to trade is part of the craft too.

Do I need to install anything or set up my platform?

No. Everything is on the web: you log in to your private area from your browser. That’s all.

Can I follow it on my phone?

Yes. The dashboard works in the browser on your computer, tablet and phone. The essentials are designed to be read at a glance, even on a small screen.

Where do the key zones come from?

From our own method. Each one has its price band. They’re the same for every subscriber, and you can see them drawn on the chart in each publication, at those same prices.

What happens when the analysis is wrong?

It happens, as with any analysis: the thermometer is an expectation, not a certainty. That’s why every expectation comes with what would cancel it and can be revised in the second look, and every revision is recorded with the reason for it.

Who does the analysis?

Djinnex Desk, our own analysis system, built on artificial intelligence, which works like the analyst-strategist on an intraday desk. Every report is prepared by the system: there’s no team of analysts behind it. It’s developed by Quontis Technologies, a business born out of its founder’s real trading. The founder is responsible for the analysis, and every publication gives the founder’s name and position. The founder still trades personally: we explain this under “Conflicts of interest”, in the risk warning.

How much does it cost, and how does the trial work?

Djinnex Desk, with its three sessions: 14-day free trial. Then €69 a month at the founder price, taxes included. Monthly billing, no minimum term.

When you start, we ask for a card to check that it’s valid, to make sure each person only gets one trial and, if you don’t cancel, to charge the subscription when the trial ends. But you aren’t charged anything during the trial. The day you sign up counts as day 1 and every calendar day counts, so the first charge falls on day 15; we’ll email you beforehand. If you’re not convinced, cancel with one click from your dashboard up to and including the last day of the trial, and you pay nothing.

The trial and withdrawal are two different things. If you’re a consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract, counted from the day you sign up and not from the end of the trial: up to and including day 15 (or the next working day). We explain it in “How to withdraw”.
